In this large work, I wished to explore the relationships of geometric definitions of space, artisanal objects, and the organic forms, shapes, and textures of the flowers and foliage.

Much of my inspiration comes directly from the garden.  When one truly observes natural structure, it is impossible not to admire the beauty being held.  Sweet peas' flowers bear much resemblance to the exotic orchid and the flat stems and wild tendrils provide great contrast.  These wondrous sights will never present themselves until a few sprigs are gathered and observed.  Their exuberance completely matches the efforts of the makers of rococo frames and Belleek potters.
